Creating Our Script

I wrote and typed half of the Readers Theater script. I am in the group: The Boy Who Was Raised by Librarians. It was interesting trying to write the script while bringing the characters in to the Readers Theater. The best thing about writing the script was you can almost control the story while following the book. I loved typing  because I like to type and you just have to type what you wrote. It was more fun than just reading the script. I loved writing and typing the script to The Boy Who Was Raised By Librarians!

Making the Script

The past nine weeks I have been writing and typing the second part of our script for Pirates Don't Change Diapers. It is really fun yet very long and hard, the illistrations are really hard to make because they are so detailed. I'm Jeremy Jacob in the story and it is much harder than you think some of the things you have to say with expresion can be very hard be very hard because you think you are going to sound stupid.

The Writing a Reader's Theater Script

In Reader's Theater we are now writing our own scripts! I was writing Knuffle Bunny Free by Mo Willems part one! I was so excited that I got my number one pick ,but I knew that I would have to write a script that would  be proof read, typed, and illustrated . I am here to tell you all about this wonderful experience! First we would figure out our book and  get parts then we would get started writing! We would start by writing from the book with just a small tweak but no vast changes to were it is nowhere like the story .That would be very ,very bad! You might start with abbreviating the characters if they have a long name. Then you would write away until you are done with your part. Next you would type the script and go from there.                                                                                                                                                    Writing a Reader's Theater script was very exciting for me it was something new and trying something new is very splendid !  Emma

experience about writing my own Reader's Theatre script

What I like about writing my own script is that I get word it the way I want to. Like in the other scripts we were given, it said,"The Narrator says,'' Alex thought the flower was pretty." But if it were my script, I would've said," The Narrator says, " Alex thought the rose was gorgeous." One reason I don't like  me writing the script is because it's really hard work. Like every 5-10 minutes, my hand would start hurting. And then we have draw the pictures. I really love drawing and that maybe another reason Iike writing the script. But even though it's really hard, by the time the performance comes and when you are done presenting and the audience claps, your hard work finally pays off. That's what I really love about writing the script  what  I dislike about this awsome, enjoying experience. Thank you very much about giving us this wonderful learning opportunity that teaches us how responsible we are!

writting a script

Writing a Readers Theater script was easier than I thought. All you half to do is follow the book. The book my group used was  Pirates Don`t Change Diapers.   It was very fun.   That was the book I wanted.  I can`t wight  until we preform.

fiction vs non-fiction

I liked non-fiction more because it gives you facts and it is harder to come up with voices. Another thing I liked was that there wouldn't be a dragon or monster that you would have to make up a fairytale voice. But the bad thing was that there was a lot of narrating.

I love readers theater bcause it is fun and you get to make people laugh. I wish we can do it every year.

I'm sad that there is only going to be 1 more readers theater left because I just love readers theater and I don't want it to end.

I can't wait to make our own script. I can't wait to see what books we get to use. Hopefully it will be
non-fiction.
